Life is full of starting and ending

Happy to have met you
Shared with you

But for you, it may be the time

For me, it wasn't

last year, I decided on the one
this year, I am left hanging

but it's fine
every ending is a beginning

a part of me hopes for a re-start
of something familiar yet new

but that's not mine to control

so I hold my head high
look at the brilliant blue sky
the full-harvest moon
and smile
