On 16th of June I went to watch Count Bassie and his Big Band at night, it was a absolutely FANTASTIC experience, the musicians and the attitudes they gave out was so relaxing and as if they enjoyed life to the fullest, I think that's what attracts me to artists. It was also during that night I decided that if one day I have to find a job in Taiwan I want to work as some sort of receptionist or events organizer for foreigners performing in Taiwan.
After listening to the heart soothing Jazz I met up with my friends at Carnegie, a club which was so packed and had such a long line that we had to give up...But I had fun opening my presents and hearing my friends sing happy birthday right outside the club. So after singing outside the club and never actually getting in, my friends and I moved onto another club called Luxy where we finally got to dance. I had a great time dancing with my friends and seeing them party~ I love the atmosphere when I spend time with my friends, so carefree and relaxing!
After clubbing some of my friends went home whilst the others and I went to KTV and sang and sang and sang until the sun came out when we were ready to leave! My throat was kinda sore but very satisfied at screaming my heart out:)
I had a nice French birthday lunch with my mother, aunt, cousins and their children. It was a strange experience to eat with so many ladies and see my cousins with their children, it made me feel older yet deep inside my heart I felt like I am only a kid. I don't wanna grow up just yet, nor work, haha!
Then I had a nice ending to my birthday, a Hagen Daz birthday cake from Mien and Ghost my two close friends from highschool. They met me up at a corner of a road and then blindfolded me, spun me around and made me walk a loong way to somewhere. This all happened in the busy east area of Taipei! When I sat down and opened my eyes I was really touched, it was a chocolate-cherry ice cream cake, it was sooooooooooo delicious! The three of us just sat there, pigged out and finished every single piece of the birthday cake.
I also received many heart warming messages from my friends, THANK YOU ALL~~~ I had a really unforgettable 22nd birthday:)
